Where it Started

Family Adventures Group was founded in 2019 by Tom Filer and Laura Filer – Husband and Wife duo who understood the traditional negative connotations and frustrations, typically associated with soft plays.

Once they became parents and started taking their eldest daughter (who at the time was 18 months old) to these venues, they realised there was a significant gap in the market for high quality, fun, educational, clean indoor play venues which could be enjoyed by both children and adults alike… and so they set out to make this happen and Ocean Adventurers was born!

The journey that follows has included rapid expansion to now include a group with includes both indoor play venues but also our multi-award-winning Little Adventures Nurseries & Pre-School Group.

The group now includes leisure sites Ocean Adventurers in Cheddar, Space Adventurers in Taunton with the latest Little Town Adventures experience in Weston-Super-Mare opening soon. Along with 6 nurseries across the South-West and Midlands within our nursery group with more exciting expansion on the way! We innovate and do things differently to create multi-award-winning experiences putting play at the heart of everything that we do. We design BIG adventures.
